For 2022’s Make A Difference Day (MADD), Southern California chapters of Delta Sigma Pi volunteered at Santa Claus, Inc. (SCI) in San Bernardino. Inland Empire Alumni has organized a MADD event at SCI annually since 2003. Participation this year included 43 brothers, pledges, and guests from six chapters in the Pacific Coast and South Pacific regions, including Cal State-Fullerton, Cal State-Long Beach, California-Irvine, Chapman, Orange County Alumni and Inland Empire Alumni.

Activities included inventorying clothes, organizing books, assembling hygiene kits, decorating and filling candy bags, and sorting toys. In addition to giving their time, Deltasigs donated $500 for the purchase of enough fleece to create 150 blankets. They got the project started by making dozens of blankets during the event.

Santa Claus, Inc. has been aiding families since 1952. They operate year-round to provide essential needs for over 100,000 children annually, including clothing, personal care items, shoes, backpacks, diapers, toys, and numerous other items through their Community Cares Program.
