• Incorporate risk management into your chapter plans. 
• Use this Event Planning Guide to ensure you don't miss any details. Be sure to also check out tips on implementing a BYOB event, information about using third-party vendors and a checklist to use when hiring a security vendor. 
• Identify activities and behaviors most likely to put the chapters or individuals at risk for harm. Develop strategies that mitigate those activities causing harm such as avoiding practices that indicate a philosophy of hazing and only practicing positive traditions. 
• Ensure all officers are aware of the crisis management plan in case an emergency situation does occur.
