• Why should I attend a Delta Sigma Pi event? What will I get out of it?

  You mean other than high-quality programming, exceptional leadership and professional training, inspiring and high-impact messages, unparalleled networking opportunities, chances to build lifelong friendships, and a really fabulous social experience? Seriously, though, attending Delta Sigma Pi events can have a significant impact on you personally and professionally. • Can alumni attend events like Grand Chapter Congress and LEAD?

  Absolutely! We love to have alumni involvement in Delta Sigma Pi events, and many alumni report that attending events like Grand Chapter Congress, LEAD Schools, andLEAD Provincial Conferences has a huge impact on them personally and professionally. At Delta Sigma Pi events, alumni can build professional skills, get advanced leadership training, and reconnect and network with other Deltasigs from around the country. Delta Sigma Pi is a lifelong resource, and we gear our events to serve our alumni members as well as collegiate attendees.

• Can I bring friends or pledges to Delta Sigma Pi leadership events, even if they aren’t members?

  Sure! Bringing friends and pledges to events is a great way to introduce them to the mission and impact of Delta Sigma Pi. You’re an ambassador for the Fraternity, and events can be a useful tool for communicating about the benefits and value of Delta Sigma Pi membership.

• What’s the difference between the various types of national events?

  LEAD Schools are training events, held Friday night through Saturday, focusing on personal and professional development, as well as chapter operations. LEAD Schools include lunch and many include social/networking events throughout the weekend. They are intended as cost-effective, high-impact opportunities to build your leadership and professional skills while expanding your network and having fun.
  
  LEAD Provincial Conferences are weekend-long events. Like LEAD Schools, LEAD Provincial Conferences offer meaningful and inspirational personal and professional development training, but more of it! LEAD Provincial Conferences also include awards banquets and special Saturday evening programming and entertainment, which are always a blast. At LEAD Provincial Conferences, members also get a chance to make their voices heard—each collegiate and alumni chapter has a voice and must send a delegate to attend the Provincial Council Meeting and vote on legislation and matters that affect the Fraternity as a whole.

• I heard pledges can register at the early registration rate. Is this true and how do they get the discounted rate?

  YES! Pledges can register for LEAD Schools and LEAD Provincial Conferences at the “early” registration rate up to 10 days prior to the event, or at the discounted “regular” rate up to five days prior to the event. Pledges can receive a discount code to get their discounted rate by emailing the Central Office. Of course, all registrations are on a space available basis, so it is best to register as soon as possible!

• Is my chapter required to send a representative to the LEAD event in my province?

  Every chapter is encouraged to send at least one representative to a LEAD event each semester, and doing so is a requirement for collegiate chapters to become an Accredited Chapter in CMP. For LEAD Schools in the fall, the chapter can attend whichever event is most convenient for them. For LEAD Provincial Conferences in the spring, chapters must send a representative to the event in their province so that they can have a delegate at the Provincial Council Meeting, but are welcome to attend other LEAD Provincial locations too.

• What is the dress code for LEAD events?

  Each event is different, but registrants should plan to wear business casual or better attire for the event. More details on the dress code for specific events are provided in confirmation materials for the event.

• What if I need to cancel my registration? Can I transfer my registration?

  If you can no longer attend an event, you may cancel or transfer your registration online.  Registrations cancelled at least ten days or more prior to the event will receive a full refund, less a processing fee. You may also transfer your registration to another person by requesting a transfer of registration. The new registrant will need to complete an online registration through the transfer portal and pay the appropriate processing fee. In a transfer situation, Delta Sigma Pi is not responsible for transferring the funds between registrants and will not issue a credit. The individuals must finalize a financial exchange.
