Pittsburgh Serves Up Something Sweet at Ronald McDonald House

Feb 14, 2017 – Lambda Chapter recently visited its local Ronald McDonald House to decorate cookies for Valentine's Day with children staying there.
On February 2, nine brothers from Lambda visited the Ronald McDonald House Charities at Pittsburgh prepared with cookies, sprinkles and frosting (all Valentine's Day themed) to spend time with the children staying there and to make their day a little brighter.

According to VPCS Amanda McKenna, "My favorite part was seeing how excited the children were as their culinary creations came alive right before their eyes! You could really see how much they enjoyed interacting with younger people and having a change of scenery!"

The event came to life after the chapter volunteered to cook dinner at the Ronald McDonald House last semester and really enjoyed themselves. "I figured with Valentine's Day right around the corner, it would be fun for the kids to decorate cookies and be creative," said McKenna.

"Spending time at the Ronald McDonald House is a great way to meet and positively impact the awesome kids in our community."
