What to Expect/Prepare to Attend

Arrival and Departure Suggestions

Ideal arrival time is Tuesday, July 12.  Grand Chapter Congress “proper” begins Wednesday, July 13, with the Marketplace, and a day of educational and leadership programming beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Delegate Orientation is Wednesday at 5:15 p.m. All Delegates and Alternates must attend this session. The Saturday Grand Banquet and Dance is the final scheduled Congress event.  Departure should be planned no sooner than Sunday, July 17.  More details will be available on the Schedule.

Banquet Seating

We will do reserved seating for the Saturday night banquet. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis and your requests will be honored based on availability. All persons you wish to sit with must also indicate in their request that they also wish to sit with you. The Host Committee will also be available during Congress for attendees to view table assignments and make changes. Seating assignments can be made up to 24-hours prior to the banquet. Banquet Seating sign-up will be available in early 2022.

Official Congress Merchandise

A Fraternity tradition is for Congress attendees to purchase a Deltasig Grand Chapter Congress “Headbar” and “Ladders” for each Congress they attend. Headbars are $15, Ladders are $10. The official Cleveland Congress lapel pin is $5. Ordering in advance will ensure you get one, as they are limited, and will allow you to assemble the ladder more easily. You may also purchase these items, and more, on-site at the Central Office Store.

Merchandise Sales

Chapters and members may sell merchandise during designated times at a pre-assigned table only with advance reservations through the Merchandise Sales Licensing Form found in the Hub. Form and payment of $25 per item being sold must be submitted by June 7. Requests after that date are on a space-available basis only and will be given “lower priority” selling space.

If you are looking for a roommate for Congress, email registration@dsp.org your name, age, gender, school, email and phone number. Staff will accumulate the data and forward it to others seeking roommates.  It is your responsibility to follow-up with contacts, make a hotel reservation, etc.  Delta Sigma Pi assumes no responsibility or liability regarding this optional service.

Join us in supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities by collecting a million pop tabs between now and the 2022 Grand Chapter Congress. We have collected over 500 pounds so far--help us reach our goal before Cleveland GCC! Chapters and individuals are encouraged to donate pop tabs to your local Ronald McDonald House. Chapters can report the number of pounds donated via the Hub event form and individuals can email the number of pounds of pop tabs donated to communityservice@dsp.org.
