Board Approves Temporary Changes to CMP for 2020-21

Jul 27, 2020 – Temporary changes to CMP requirements have been approved for the 2020-21 CMP year.

In an effort to allow chapters to focus on brother engagement and recruitment, the Board approved the following: 

Accredited:
  • Lowered Professional activities requirements to 6 events during the year. 
  • Lowered Community Service activities requirements to 4 events during the year.
  • Noted there will be virtual LEAD attendance requirements that will be developed and communicated along with the registration process for that event. 
  • NOTE: A variety of additional changes were previously approved this year: 
    • Diversity, Equity and Inclusion event and action plan. 
    • Pledging ceremony report due two days following the ceremony.
    • A copy of The Crown & Delta must be ordered for each pledge in time for the Pledging Ceremony. 
Recognition: 
  • Suspended the "No 90-Day Debt" requirement to align with relaxed collection policies put in place this past spring. 
  • Lowered the completion requirement of optional items from 6 to 5, out of 8. 
Excellence:
  • Suspended the "No 60-Day Debt" requirement to align with relaxed collection policies put in place this past spring. 
Chapters are encouraged to work closely with their local leadership, who are ready and able to assist and provide ideas/best practices. The Central Office Staff (hub@dsp.org) is also available and ready to assist with explanations or ideas.
