Leadership Foundation Supporter Spotlight: Adam Katch

Oct 30, 2018 – Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation supporter Adam Katch, Iowa State, reflects on his time as a Deltasig and why he chooses to continue his involvement as an alumni.

What is your Delta Sigma Pi passion? katch
My passion is directly tied to what inspires me to give - friendships and bonds that I have made with people across the country. I value these friendships more than anything (three of my four groomsmen in my wedding were Deltasigs and about half of the invitees were brothers)! I want to ensure that events like LEAD, Grand Chapter Congress and Leadership Retreats can continue to happen, as these are where many of my friendships were formed. The positive connections and "knowing people" in different industries is phenomenal.

How have you see the effects of your giving firsthand?
I still attend LEADs and see the different programming that is being developed and presented at each event. I also meet and talk with scholarship winners and see how much it means to them.

What is something most brothers wouldn't know about you?
1. I was a garbage truck mechanic in college.
2. North Central PVP Cory Stopka once beat me 21-0 in a game of bags (cornhole).
3. I've attended seven Halsey Volleyball/Basketball tournaments (a regional event), four GCCs and 14 LEAD events.
