Dr. Debra Cartwright Named PFA Faculty Advisor of the Year

Sep 29, 2017 – Each year, the Professional Fraternity Association (PFA) hosts national awards to recognize outstanding individuals and chapters in the Greek community.

Delta Sigma Pi's very own Dr. Debra Cartwright was given the Faculty Advisor Award of Excellence by PFA for her service to the Truman State (MO) Chapter.

Dr. Cartwright has served as chapter advisor for Iota Nu at Truman State (MO) since 2008 and consistently goes above and beyond to serve Delta Sigma Pi. Whether it is helping a brother in the classroom or through the Fraternity, she is always willing to sacrifice her time for a student. This includes attending every Sunday night executive meeting and Monday night chapter meeting, and challenging the executive committee to always strive to be their best for the chapter.

Dedicating numerous weekends to attending LEAD events and Grand Chapter Congress, she networks with other chapters and stays updated on changes and Fraternity news to best serve her chapter. Although these activities are not required of her, she happily attends anyway. A frequent supporter of the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation, Dr. Cartwright's selfless dedication to the Fraternity sets an example of brotherhood, love and professionalism.
