Gamma Psi Volunteers at Tucson Valley of the Moon

Nov 23, 2016 – The Gamma Psi Chapter at Arizona participated in Make A Difference Day by taking part in events hosted by the Eller College of Management.

Each year, the Eller College of Management hosts a Make A Difference Day event where business students help those in the Tucson, Arizona community. In total, 960 people volunteered on behalf of the business school at 31 different locations. Each year, the chapter makes a point to join the event.

This year, the Gamma Psi Chapter volunteered at Tucson Valley of the Moon, a children's fantasy park that puts on plays teaching children about kindness through a storybook land. The chapter helped the park by planting trees, building fences, weaving vines and performing other landscaping needs.

According to chapter webmaster Christy Mata, "The chapter was able to immerse itself in the Tucson community to be a part of a bigger change that Eller College was making. The Tucson community loves and supports the University of Arizona, so it was rewarding to give support back. Not only did our efforts go toward improving Valley of the Moon, but the children and families who attend the plays."
