Buffalo Brother Honored by Girl Scouts

Sep 07, 2016 – Golden Council member Beth Bivona, Buffalo, will be honored by the Girl Scouts of Western New York in September as one of nine Women of Distinction for 2016.

The honorees were nominated by members of the community because of their demonstrated leadership in their careers and to their communities through public service. They are role models for all girls, and in accepting the award, they commit to mentoring specific young women involved in the award ceremony.

Brother Bivona previously served Delta Sigma Pi as Niagara Regional Vice President and more recently served as chair of both the Northeastern Provincial Award and Alumni Development committees. She also served on the National Ritual Task Force from 2009-2011.

Beth works for Barclay Damon, LLP, listed as a “Top 250 Firm” by The National Law Journal. Barclay Damon is a full-service, 275-attorney law firm, with offices throughout the major cities of New York State, as well as in Boston, Washington, Newark, N.J. and Toronto, providing comprehensive legal and business counsel to a diverse client base in 33 practice areas. She is a co-chair of their Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights Practice Area working primarily with corporations and other businesses and professional clients on a variety of commercial disputes and insolvency matters. Beth was nominated for the award by James Domagalski, Esq. a partner in her firm. She lives in the greater Buffalo/Niagara area with her husband George and their two children.
