As the Manager of Communication and Shared Services, Mike leads the communications and administrative support

functions. This role focuses on shaping and delivering the Fraternity’s brand identity while overseeing operations across administrative services, facilities, and event support.

Previously, he worked as fund development and marketing manager at Voices for Children in Nebraska where he managed the fund development program, and the marketing and communication efforts. Since 2001, he’s owned the communications and marketing company, Watkins Marketing & Media. At Watkins Marketing & Media, he provides a variety of services to clients, including writing and editing, media relations, marketing, and digital marketing.

Outside of work, he enjoys working in his yard, playing tennis and fantasy football and rooting for the Iowa Hawkeyes and San Francisco 49ers as well as spending time with his four brothers, and several nieces and nephews.

A member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity, as well as several professional organizations (Public Relations Society of America, International Association of Business Communicators, Association of Fundraising Professionals), Mike has a strong understanding of the value of membership and looks forward to applying his experience to Deltasig!
