Meet our new Director of Information Services!

Jan 03, 2024 – Delta Sigma Pi welcomes Fred Mills.

As Director of Information Services, Fred is charged with enhancing the tools our members use to interact with Delta Sigma Pi with a variety of updated systems and tools on track for our summer 2025 launch – An updated user interface for The Hub, new chapter health report, updates to awards and scholarship programs, and more. Fred will be responsible for overseeing and implementing development of several additional new tools. Associate Director of Operational Services Marissa Smith continues to be responsible for our technology.  

Fred attended the University of Toledo for two years and then transferred to Franklin University where he graduated with his bachelor's degree in computer science. Fred has worked in a variety of fields connected to information technology for over a decade. His most recent roles include working as chief information technology architect for JM Radix, LLC, and as an information technology security product manager for NiSource. He has numerous certificates related to security and cloud services, has created custom software, and has contributed to projects for NASA, GitHub, Apple, and others. 

Mills has a passion for teaching young people. He started a software development program for inner-city youth to learn coding and social media. He also worked with the chief technology officer of Dublin, Ohio on programs like "Black Tech 614" and a course on AI technology and logistics relationships. His goal is to show young black youth all the opportunities that await them. Fred feels the greatest gift we can give to others is service. 

He currently lives in the Columbus, Ohio area with his family.
