Brother Weber Awarded Colorado State University Outstanding Grad

Oct 12, 2023 – Hunter Weber, Colorado State, was awarded Outstanding Grad from the Warner College of Natural Resources at Colorado State University.

This past May, Colorado State recognized a student from each of their eight colleges that displayed courage in the face of adversity when pursuing their degrees. Students were chosen based on nominations from faculty and staff across each college.

As a first-generation student with learning disabilities, adjusting to college was not always easy for Hunter, but he credits his Delta Sigma Pi membership for his growth and achievement. “Delta Sigma Pi acted as a support for me…Each time I went to a business class, I had another member beside me. It made me more comfortable to be in the college environment and allowed me to grow!”

Weber notes the importance of the Outstanding Grad recognition. He said, “This award meant so much to me; it showed how the five years of passion and work I had for each organization all came together in the end.”

Brother Weber graduated with a bachelor’s degree in global tourism, international business and marketing with a concentration in French. On campus, he was president of Colorado State’s Collegiate DECA, Tourism Association and worked as a resident assistant. Hunter was the 2023 Western Province Collegian of the Year and was president, vice president-chapter operations, vice president-pledge education and vice president-alumni relations of Mu Rho Chapter.

Currently, Weber serves as District Director for Northern Illinois and Assistant District Director for Chicago. Professionally, he works as a business diversity specialist at United Airlines. In his job, he’s excited to “help invest money into women-owned, veteran-owned, LGBTQIA+-owned, disability-owned, and/or minority-owned businesses for economic and business growth.”
