Career Achievement Banquet

Jan 16, 2019 – On March 2, Delta Sigma Pi will host a Career Achievement Award Banquet honoring 2018 recipient Elliott L. Ferguson II.

The event will take place at 7:00 p.m. at the location of the conference: Atlanta Marriott Buckhead Hotel. Register for the event now and use pre-registration code BANQUET if you wish to register for the banquet only (and not the Southern Provincial Conference and Council Meeting). Ferguson was initiated into Kappa Chi at Savannah State (GA) in 1987 and went on to earn a degree in marketing and business administration. After some time at the Savannah Convention and Visitors Bureau, he went on to become the vice president of sales for the Atlanta Convention and Visitors Bureau, where he remained for more than 10 years. Ferguson is currently president and CEO of Destination D.C., taking over in 2009 (the same year Grand Chapter Congress was held in D.C. At that event, Ferguson attended with an official welcome and presented a silver bowl to the Fraternity on behalf of President Obama). 

Ferguson serves on the board of the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Travel and Tourism Advisory Board, the Downtown Business Improvement District, the Greater Washington Sports Alliance, the Military Bowl, Historical Society of Washington D.C. and the Franciscan Monastery USA. He is a Chairman of the D.C. Business Coalition, a member of the Hospitality Alliance and a member of BrandUSA's Marketing Advisory Group.
