Zeta Pi Chapter All Star Weekend

May 05, 2015 – All in one weekend, St. Joseph's participated in Relay for Life, worked out a Zumba class, played softball, and held a BroBQ!

In April, the chapter kicked off a weekend with the 4th annual Saint Joseph’s University Relay for Life. Relay was held in Hagan Arena from 7 p.m. on Friday to 7 a.m. on Saturday. There was great turnout from the chapter and many brothers stayed very late into the night. Overall, they raised $736 toward the event's total of $64,459.40!

On Saturday, brothers and friends piled into the O’Pake Recreation Center Multi Purpose Room and participated in Zumba. The mother of brothers Sean and Matthew Lenahan, Nancy Lenahan, led them in a Zumba routine. Brothers worked up quite the sweat, but it was a great event.

Sunday was another busy day for the Zeta Pi Chapter! The DELTA SIGMA PIrates began the day by participating in the City 6 Softball tournament. City 6 is a Philadelphia Intramural Athletics tournament held among winners from each of the six major Philadelphia schools: Saint Joseph’s, Villanova, Temple, La Salle, Pennsylvania, and Drexel. The games were held at Penn Park. Zeta Pi represented Saint Joseph’s and took on Villanova in the single elimination playoff. While they may have lost the game, the softball team definitely had a blast and were happy for the opportunity to participate in the City 6!

After the softball game, the team headed back to Hawk Hill and met the rest of the brothers for a nice Sunday afternoon “Bro” BQ.  Brother Chris Chille ran the grill serving up hot dogs and hamburgers. Like the chapter's “Bros”giving in the fall, “Bro”BQ will definitely become a staple social event for Zeta Pi!
