Presidents' Academy Activity

The Presidents’ Academy agenda/curriculum is designed to develop chapter presidents’ leadership potential in a way that has immediate benefits to them personally, to chapters they lead and the Fraternity as a whole. With sessions offered in both large and small group settings, you will meet more than 200 other presidents from around the country.  

Here is a tentative agenda for the 2023 Academy: 

January 13 - 6:00 p.m. ET 

  • National Honorary Initiation Maxine Clark, Build-A-Bear Founder
  • Welcome by Grand President Cory Stopka 
  • Birkman Basics and Building Successful Teams 
  • Small Group Introductions & Get to Know You, Networking and Activities

January 14 – 8 a.m. ET

  • Building Successful Teams
  • Incentivizing, Motivating & Accountability
  • Understanding Organizational Purpose and Principles 
  • State of the Fraternity with Grand President Cory Stopka & Leadership Panel
  • Putting the Strategy in Strategic Planning 
  • Navigating Difficult Conversations 
  • Leading Like a Facilitator 

January 15 – 8 a.m. ET

  • Operation Roundtables & Networking
  • Bringing it Back to Your Chapter, Evaluation
  • Inspirational Leadership Keynote with Frank Viverito, St. Louis Sports Commission, Chief Advisory Officer/Former President
  • Graduation, Next Steps and Farewell
