- 1907: Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity was founded at New York University by Alexander Frank Makay, Alfred Moysello, Henry Albert Tienken, and Harold Valentine Jacobs. HAPPY 118th BIRTHDAY DELTASIG!
- 1975: Grand President Bill Tatum convened a conference call with the Board of Directors on November 7, 1975, and they unanimously voted to open membership of Delta Sigma Pi to women. This decision was ratified at the 31st Grand Chapter Congress in 1977. 50 YEARS OF WOMEN INITIATES IN THE FRATERNITY!

- 1837: One of the first institutions of higher education for women in the United States, Mount Holyoke Female Seminary (now Mount Holyoke College) opened in Massachusetts.
- 1916: Jeannette Rankin was the first woman elected to Congress after she won a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
- 1990: Mary Robinson became Ireland's first female president.
- 2020: Kamala Harris was the first woman, and first woman of color elected U.S. vice president.
EVENTS THAT HAPPENED AROUND THE WORLD IN NOVEMBER:
- 1775: The U.S. Marine Corps was established as part of the U.S. Navy.
- 1800: The U.S. Congress met for the first time in the new capital at Washington, D.C.
- 1848: The first medical school for women opened in Boston. In 1874, the school merged with the Boston University School of Medicine, becoming one of the first co-ed medical schools.
- 1911: Aviator C.P. Snow completed the first transcontinental flight across America, landing in Pasadena, California.
- 1922: King Tut's tomb was discovered at Luxor, Egypt, by British archaeologist Howard Carter.
- 1967: Carl Stokes became the first African American mayor in the U.S., elected mayor of Cleveland, Ohio
- 1989: L. Douglas Wilder became the first African American governor in the U.S., elected governor of Virginia.
