Deltasigs to Receive Milestone Recognition at South Central LEAD

Feb 11, 2022 – Join us in celebrating the following Deltasigs who will be recognized at the 2022 South Central LEAD Provincial Conference in Austin.

Thank you to the following Silver Helmets recipients for their 25 years of dedicated service to Delta Sigma Pi.

JoAnne Hendricks was initiated into Iota Psi at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi in 1996. After graduation, JoAnne joined Central Office staff as an Educational and Leadership Consultant for two years. She then moved to Austin, Texas where she was active with Austin Alumni Chapter, serving in a number of officer positions, including chapter president. JoAnne has also served on the South Central Provincial Scholastic Development and Awards Committee and as District Director for Beta Iota at Baylor and Beta Kappa at Texas-Austin. JoAnne has attended nearly 30 national events, including nine Grand Chapter Congresses, and is a supporter of the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation. Professionally, she is the director of operation for Seton Foundations Operations, which raises the funds and awareness necessary to operate and advance the Ascension Seton network of hospitals.

Angie Schelp was initiated into Iota Omicron at Central Missouri in 1995. She is currently District Director for Washburn Colony and Assistant District Director for Iota Omicron at Central Missouri. She has also previously served as District Director for Iota at Kansas and Nu Omega at Rockhurst. From 2015 until 2019, Angie served as the National Community Service Committee Chair, having previously served as the chair of the South Central Provincial Community Service Committee. Recently, she also served as the Midwestern Regional Vice President from 2019 until 2021. Angie has also been heavily involved with the Kansas City Alumni Chapter, currently serving as president and previously serving as president, vice president-collegiate relations, vice president and secretary. Angie has also attended more than 30 national events, including 12 Grand Chapter Congresses. She is also a supporter of the Leadership Foundation, earning the Cornerstone level of giving. Professionally, Angie is a vice president, data analysis manager at PNC Bank. 

Dawn Sweazea was initiated into Iota Omicron at Central Missouri in 1995. In 1998, Dawn was named the National Collegian of the Year. After serving in that role, she was a District Director for Alpha Beta at Missouri-Columbia and then South Central Provincial Vice President until 2005. Since then she has also served on the Nominations Committee and the National Alumni Development Committee. Dawn is an active member of Kansas City Alumni Chapter and supporter of the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation, earning Cornerstone recognition for more than $5,000. She has attended more than 40 national events, including 13 Grand Chapter Congresses. Professionally, she is the director of talent acquisition for the State of Missouri and presented a webinar on talent management transformation last fall. 

Derry Webb was initiated into Eta Psi at University of Houston in 1996. She has served the Fraternity in many capacities over the last 25 years, most notably serving as National Community Service Committee Chair. She also served as a member of the National Service Committee and as South Central Provincial Community Service Chair. Derry is a lifetime member of Space City Houston Alumni Chapter, joining in 1996, and previously served the chapter as secretary. Derry and husband James "Duckie" Webb, Houston, strongly support the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation, recognized with the Fifth Founder Lifetime Giving Level, and as 10K Club Members. Derry has also served on the Foundation Scholarship Selection Team for the last 10 years. She has attended more than 40 National events, including a dozen GCCs, serving on the Foundation GCC Planning Team in 2017.
