The award was announced at the Fraternity Communications Association's Awards Ceremony during the annual conference, held virtually this year. Each year, FCA recognizes member organizations for their outstanding efforts in a variety of writing, design and communication categories. The award honors outstanding efforts to improve an existing magazine or tabloid. The publication must have undergone significant change during the judging timeframe of the 2020 calendar year. 

The newly re-designed magazine was published in March 2020. Delta Sigma Pi contracted FCA Associate Partner Shelle Design.
