The honor was presented at the Professional Fraternity Association (PFA)'s annual convention, hosted this year in Alexandria, VA. According to the association, the award recognizes a PFA organization for the administration of a meritorious professional program or project. (Read more about PFA below).

"It is exciting that our Presidents' Academy was nationally recognized by PFA,” said COO Jeremy Levine. “This event has been a significant investment in human and fiscal resources for Delta Sigma Pi. Presidents’ Academy, along with the many other investments focused on our Strategic Priorities, are more prominently establishing the Fraternity as a leadership development organization that prepares business students for the evolving world."

Presidents' Academy was launched in January 2019. It is a national training event designed to develop chapter presidents’ leadership potential in a way that has immediate benefits to the chapters they lead, to them personally and to the Fraternity as a whole. As the newest addition to the Fraternity’s suite of leadership and educational offerings, Presidents’ Academy reflects Delta Sigma Pi’s commitment to Member Education as articulated in the Fraternity’s Strategic Priorities.

The professionally designed content provides Delta Sigma Pi's chief chapter officers the tactical skills needed to set organizational direction and tone, build motivated and effective teams, and make tough decisions. These skills will serve these young leaders immediately in the chapters they lead and throughout their careers. The content was developed and created by a strong partnership between the Fraternity’s Professional Development Committee (volunteers), the Fraternity’s staff and Plaid LLC. Plaid is a professional services firm specializing in personal and organizational development, as well as change management.

The 2020 Presidents' Academy is scheduled for January 11-13. The Fraternity Board of Directors works closely with the Leadership Foundation Board of Trustees to provide sustainable funding through alumni donations and corporate sponsorships to provide the Presidents’ Academy experience. The Presidents' Academy Fund was created to allow those passionate about this program to provide ongoing financial support. Opportunities are available for corporate sponsorships of the Presidents’ Academy by reaching out to deltasigmapi@dsp.org.
