Many Delta Sigma Pi chapters hold community service events on the fourth Saturday of every October as part of Make A Difference Day
. While the national Make A Difference Day program is run by USA Weekend and the Points of Light Foundation, when more Delta Sigma Pi members and chapters participate, the Fraternity and its chapters are eligible for recognition and even a grant from the program, which gives Delta Sigma Pi service initiatives even more impact.
How to Participate
Every alumni and collegiate chapter should strive to participate in Make A Difference Day. Events don’t have to be time-consuming. Every LEAD event has a community service opportunity if your chapter will be at LEAD
on the fourth Saturday of October—on-site participation counts! You can overlap a donation drive with another event you already have planned for that day. If your chapter’s calendar is full, you can even plan to drop off your Ronald McDonald House
pop tab donation on Make A Difference Day. The only qualification is that the project be somehow related to community service, and that it takes place on or around the fourth Saturday of October.

This year, help Delta Sigma Pi make a difference!
