The magazine features 100 successful businesspeople each year to help advance and guide other small business owners. Don received the award at a celebration banquet at the St. Charles Convention Center.

Fitzgerald has worked at Synergy Wealth Solutions, a MassMutual Firm, for over seventeen years. As a senior advisor and certified financial planner, he provides financial needs analysis to individuals through a network of experienced professionals focused on advisory services, retirement planning, estate strategies and more.

Starting a business takes hard work and dedication but Don knows it pays off in the end. “My first five years were tough, and I had to make the business my main priority. Now, I can't imagine working in a normal corporate job. I love being my own boss, determining my workload and planning the next course for my business.”

When asked about his award, Don said “It's always nice to be recognized, regardless of what it’s for.” A fellow Deltasig brother, Brian Bredensteiner, Missouri-Columbia, was also recognized at the luncheon (From left: Don Fitzgerald and Brian Bredensteiner).  

In his free time, Brother Fitzgerald enjoys volunteering in his community and continues to support Deltasigs. He currently serves as District Director for Missouri-Columbia and St. Louis Alumni Chapter. He has also been a small group facilitator at Presidents’ Academy.

Don has the following advice for young alumni looking to get involved: “Many of my best friends are brothers. I would never have met them if I hadn't stayed involved after graduation! I can't stress that enough. Reach out to your local alumni chapter and Regional Vice President and ask about volunteer opportunities.”
