Jennifer Mayes Named National Alumni Development Committee Chair

Oct 14, 2021 – Jennifer Mayes has been appointed National Alumni Development Committee Chair.

As the Alumni Development Committee Chair, Jennifer’s primary goal is creating opportunities to nurture lifelong relationships with and among current and future Delta Sigma Pi alumni by offering programs of relevance and service to alumni and thereby creating long lasting support for the Fraternity using four fundamentals: existing alumni chapter development; cultivation of new chapters; successful transition of collegiate brothers to alumni brothers; further engagement of existing alumni brothers in the Fraternity as well as working closely with other National Committees and Task Forces.

Jennifer is a proud alumni of the University of the Oklahoma with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Management. She then continued her education at the University of Oklahoma to get her Masters in Human Relations and Human Resources Management and Organizational Development.

Jennifer has spent many years of her life dedicated to nurturing growth in higher educational spaces, first serving as the Sponsored Programs Administration Coordinator and Operations Manager for The University of Oklahoma Outreach Program. Soon after, she transitioned into the Interim Director for Curriculum and Faculty Support at Oklahoma’s College of Professional and Continuing Students. She then took her skills and services to Texas A&M University serving as the Director of Learning Production where she specialized in project management, web communication and campus wide communication. She currently serves as the Instructional System Administrator at Southern Methodist University.

Jennifer has also served as a leader within Delta Sigma Pi with many different roles and responsibilities, including serving as District Director from 2015-2017, Regional Vice President from 2017-2020, and most recently serving as a member of the Provincial Discipline Committee and National Task Force Member. Jennifer is looking forward to collaborating with the Board of Directors to implement the 2021-2026 Strategic Priorities. She is also looking forward to working with committee chairs and task forces, and to have exciting and new programming to further strengthen the Deltasig experience for our alumni members.

We are very excited about the knowledge and opportunities Jennifer brings to Delta Sigma Pi! Congratulate her by sending your notes and thoughts to alumnidevelopment@dsp.org!
