Fraternity Hosts Denver Alumni Reception

Mar 04, 2020 – Brotherhood and networking were on display in downtown Denver on February 28.

Deltasigs from the Denver area joined National Fraternity leaders at an alumni reception at Wynkoop Brewing Company, Denver's first craft brewery.

Brothers and guests enjoyed an evening catching up with brothers and making new connections. Vice President-Finance Jodi Schoh provided an update on the recent accomplishments of the Fraternity through the Strategic Priorities, including the award-winning Presidents' Academy, the power of LEAD Schools and Provincial Conferences, initiating over 285,000 brothers over the past 113 years and more. For many of the attendees, this was the first time hearing of these great milestones.

Leadership Foundation Executive Vice President Tyler Wash thanks brothers for their attendance and recaps the exciting things the Foundation has done to further a #DSPHigherStandard.

Highlights of the reception included meeting 25 brothers who were attending their first Deltasig event since graduation, honoring Robert Mocella, Jr., Eastern Illinois, with the Golden Helmet, awarding the Silver Helmet to Darin Katzberg, Nebraska-Lincoln, and connecting with groups of founding members of the Nu Phi Chapter at the University of Northern Colorado and the Eta Sigma Chapter at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.

Members of the Denver Alumni Chapter were in attendance to welcome the local alumni and encourage ongoing communication and engagement.

The Fraternity is hosting a number of local alumni receptions this year, with the goal of engagement and networking. An alumni reception is currently planned for the Dallas area (Haywire Restaurant in Plano on March 6) and one was hosted in Jacksonville, Florida, in February.
