Leadership Funds Available for Collegiate Chapters

May 28, 2019 – The Leadership Foundation is excited to announce the creation of Chapter Leadership Funds.

Chapter Leadership Funds are chapter-specific accounts within the Leadership Foundation created to receive designated charitable gifts from those who wish to directly support a local chapter. Through donating directly to a Chapter Leadership Fund, alumni, friends and family can assure collegians from a specific chapter always have access to Delta Sigma Pi’s full array of educational and leadership development programs, such as Presidents’ Academy, LEAD Provincial Conferences, LEAD Schools and Grand Chapter Congress.

The Leadership Foundation has established a Chapter Leadership Fund for each Delta Sigma Pi collegiate chapter.

“I love being able to designate a tax-deductible donation that directly supports brothers from my collegiate chapter to use for attendance at approved Fraternity educational events like LEADs and Grand Chapter Congress,” said LF Vice Chair Randy Hultz. “Attendance at these events not only provides tremendous development opportunities, I’ve seen, firsthand, the impact expanding the fraternal experience beyond the local chapter has on our members.”

Chapters can request grants to defray the direct costs related to a Delta Sigma Pi program, including registration fees, travel and lodging.

Donations can be made directly to Chapter Leadership Funds online at dsp.org/donate (click on “Designate my gift for special interest” then choose “Chapter Leadership Funds” and the appropriate chapter) or by any other giving vehicle offered by the Leadership Foundation.

Once gifts are made to a Chapter Leadership Fund, the chapter can start requesting grants using the Hub form “Chapter Leadership Fund Grant Request”. Various chapter officers and volunteers will receive communications relating to requests and a weekly summary of donations.

The Leadership Foundation launched Chapter Leadership Funds in an effort to strategically create a new giving opportunity aimed at providing chapters more financial resources to fully participate in Delta Sigma Pi’s outstanding educational and leadership development programs.

Contact Jeanine Triplett, Associate Executive Vice President, or visit dsp.org/clf for more information about Chapter Leadership Funds.

All gifts to Chapter Leadership Funds are tax-deductible (as allowable by law) for the donor and will be included in the donor’s annual and lifetime giving records. Gifts to a Chapter Leadership Fund will be charged an upfront gift processing fee of ten percent. There will be no annual administrative fees charged to these funds. The gift processing fee will be used by the Leadership Foundation to help provide annual programming grants to the Delta Sigma Pi Fraternity and to help offset operating costs of the Foundation, including alumni relations and development efforts to increase the level of private support.
