300th Chapter Psi Omega to be Installed at Capital University

Mar 27, 2019 – We are excited to install our 300th Chapter, Psi Omega, at Capital University in Columbus, OH!

Psi Omega began September 20, 2017 following efforts by students and faculty to merge many department clubs into a cross-disciplinary organization that would offer leadership, professional development, service and social activity. Three Deltasig faculty members suggested Delta Sigma Pi, and after a visit to the Central Office in June 2017, the colony hit the ground running!

Since colonization, Psi Omega quickly established itself as a meaningful organization on campus. Professionally, they have hosted networking events with personnel from the Columbus Crew SC Major League Soccer franchise, and sent members to national Deltasig events such as the 2018 Cleveland LEAD School and the 2019 Northeastern LEAD Provincial Conference. They have also participated in Relay for Life and organized a cleanup for local parks.

East Central RVP James Kuhn says of the new chapter, "They have continually shown their commitment to not only being active on the campus of Capital University, but becoming active members of the Fraternity overall. They recently sent fourteen members, including their advisor, to the most recent LEAD School in Cleveland and surprised many with their astounding attendance at the Cincinnati Alumni Chapter's most recent Central Office Open House with around thirty attendees. This illustrates the kind of enthusiasm needed to charter a successful chapter that contributes to the overall welfare of Delta Sigma Pi and its members."
