Xi Tau Hosts Fifth Annual 'Cuse vs. Cancer 5k

Nov 01, 2016 – To celebrate Make A Difference Day, the Xi Tau Chapter at Syracuse hosted its fifth annual 'Cuse vs. Cancer 5k run throughout the Syracuse University Quad.

For the first time since the 5k's beginning, the chapter decided to turn it into a color run. Chapter President Logan Margolis comments that the run was back and better than ever. "It might have been a windy, chilly morning in Syracuse, but that did not stop nearly 100 runners of all ages from coming out to help battle cancer."

The morning began with the participants singing the national anthem. Soon after, the runners were off and the paint powder was flying! The race concluded at the center of the "Quad," where Otto the Orange (Syracuse's official mascot) was there to cheer on runners as they crossed the finish line.

Xi Tau is expecting to donate over $2,000 to their chosen charity, the Jim and Juli Boeheim Foundation. According to Margolis, "This organization, started by Syracuse basketball legend Jim Boeheim strives to enrich the lives of central New York youth battling cancer by providing support through research and advocacy."

Congratulations, Xi Tau on a successful Make A Difference Day!
