St. Louis Alumni Chapter Supports Fraternity

Aug 08, 2016 – One of our longest standing alumni chapters, St. Louis, recently made a generous gift to help fund Fraternity efforts to add previous issues of The DELTASIG magazine online.
Eighty-five volumes of the magazine were dropped off in July to NPC, Inc. Integrated Print & Digital Solutions in Claysburg, Pennsylvania. NPC, which also prints The DELTASIG magazine. They will use a v-shaped scanner to archive approximately 12,370 pages. Once complete, users will be able search through stories dating back to 1921. This project would not be possible without the support of the St. Louis Alumni Chapter.
The St. Louis Alumni Chapter has been around for almost 70 years, first being recorded in 1924, making it one of the longest standing alumni chapters of Delta Sigma Pi. This is not the first gift of the chapter which also endowed the St. Louis Alumni/Stephanie DeGuire Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Delta Sigma Pi Leadership Foundation. The fund provides one scholarship for an undergraduate member of a chapter in the Gateway Region.
The chapter strives due to their 60 members and signature events, earning them the Delta Sigma Pi Most Outstanding Alumni Chapter three times since 2002. Each year they host their “Career Prep Day,” a professional workshop the alumni chapter puts together for local collegiate members. Throughout the day, alumni members provide professional development seminars, mock interviews, resume critiques and more. St. Louis supports the community through Career Prep Day by charging admission—the students are asked to donate goods for a local charity. The chapter also volunteers at Fair St. Louis each year to help raise funds for the chapter and worthy causes such as the Stephanie DeGuire Foundation, National MS Society, and Susan G. Komen. St. Louis Alumni Chapter hosts monthly events ranging from happy hours to sporting events, including their summer BBQ/Kickball event.
Thank you, St. Louis Alumni Chapter, for your continued support of brotherhood!
