Presidents' Academy 2023

  • Dates: Jan 13 2023 - Jan 15 2023
  • Location: St. Louis, MO

The 2023 Presidents’ Academy will be in St. Louis and is a national training event for chapter presidents. It is primarily designed to equip collegiate chapter presidents to develop their leadership potential in a way that has immediate benefits to them personally, to the chapters they lead, and to the Fraternity as a whole - and is an award-winning program! This will be the 5th annual event, and after two years virtually, we will be back together in person, in St. Louis, Missouri. Keep reading for more information.

View the tentative 2023 Presidents' Academy Agenda.

DRESS:

Friday night is professional attire
Saturday/Sunday is business casual attire

REGISTRATION:

To start the registration process, chapter presidents should submit the “Presidents’ Academy Officer Selection” Form in the Hub. The form will let us know which nationally recognized officer will be attending Presidents’ Academy (in the event the chapter president is unable to attend) or that the chapter has not yet elected officers for January. All chapters must submit the form by the November 20 deadline. Once the chapter reports their chapter representative, the representative will receive further instructions to register for the 2023 Presidents’ Academy.

TRAVEL & HOTEL ARRANGEMENTS:

We are happy to announce that for the 2023 event, all registration fees, lodging expenses, reasonable travel and food during the event will be paid for by the national Fraternity and Leadership Foundation. (That means FREE for your chapter!) The chapter will still need to budget (approximately $100) for minimal incidental expenses such as airport parking, baggage fees and food to and from the conference. Your Chapter Leadership Fund would be eligible to be used for these expenses. All events will take place at the Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet. Once you register, Delta Sigma Pi's Travel Agent will contact you to secure the most appropriate travel arrangements (flight, train, car, etc.) -- do NOT book your own travel or hotel.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

In the event you need to cancel your attendance at the Academy, you (the traveler) must contact the Fraternity’s Travel Agent immediately at maria@innovative-meetings.com or call 856-494-6490. It is the responsibility of the traveler to make certain that all airline, train, hotel, car and shuttle services are canceled. If the Travel Agent cannot be reached, the traveler must contact the airline/train, and Central Office Staff meeting host, as soon as possible.

If the airline ticket is nonrefundable, a credit will be issued in the traveler’s name for future travel on that airline minus the exchange fees. The credit is good for travel up to one year after the ticket issue date.

The full cost of the airline ticket (train or other) as paid by Delta Sigma Pi will be due from the traveler within 30 days of cancellation. If the traveler does not submit reimbursement of the cost to the Central Office within that 30 days, their respective chapter will be invoiced for the amount.

Special circumstances for cancellation will be considered on a case-by-case basis for emergency requests.

For more information regarding cancellations or change in travel plans, please view Presidents' Academy Travel Guidelines

COVID SAFETY:

At a minimum, the state, county, city and/or hotel requirements regarding COVID precautions and safety will be in effect at the time of the event.  Delta Sigma Pi may also have additional requirements that will be communicated in advance.
